Sahadeo Narine has hit the ground running with his fledgling Betterclean Services franchise

Sahadeo Narine opened Betterclean Services Coventry in August 2019. A businessman for over 20 years, he researched both cleaning and non-cleaning opportunities before deciding to invest in a franchise with the commercial cleaning specialist.

Why betterclean?

“I chose Betterclean as their business model and structure offered me the most flexibility in terms of scale,” Sahadeo explains. “This allows me to determine the pace at which I develop my business and how fast and how large I want my business to grow.

“The support in getting start-up clients also gives me a jump-start, while simultaneously developing and building my clientele. Existing franchisees shared good experiences, which boosted my confidence to invest in Betterclean.”

Initial training

“There was quite a lot to cover during the one-week training programme,” Sahadeo says. “However, we did get a good understanding of the processes employed.”

After completing his initial training, Sahadeo began his first week of trading by completing three quotes, which included dental surgeries and various offices. He was delighted to win his first contract at a dental surgery, which started in September when he hired his first cleaner.

Following initial training

Sahadeo has been working hard completing site surveys and quoting for contracts over the past few months. He’s just won three new office cleaning contracts and has also completed six end of tenancy house cleans in the last two weeks.

Betterclean Services Coventry now employ three cleaners and continues to quote for new contracts.

Ongoing support

Betterclean provides franchisees with in-territory and out-of-territory support on an ongoing basis. They receive assistance with employment law, health and safety, tendering and marketing their business. Betterclean also arranges regular network days, which feature guest speakers, training sessions and open discussions.

The future

Sahadeo says his business continues to grow and he’s excited to see what the new year has in store for Betterclean Coventry.
