How does the Ovenu franchise model work?

Following their induction training, Ovenu franchisees operate in generous yet sustainable exclusive territories throughout the UK and Australia. Franchisees set their own pricing strategy with Head Office support, book their own appointments and run their own electronic diaries via a unique, bespoke and tailor-made CRM system.

Clients pay the franchisees directly at the end of each job ensuring the business has positive cash-flow each and every day. In exchange for the ongoing help and support, franchisees pay a fixed monthly management fee along with a fixed fee for National Marketing. Having fixed fees makes the business finances easy to manage and account for.

The National Marketing, including occasional TV advertising, works in conjunction with any/all local advertising and promotions that the franchisees put in place themselves to produce the all-important sales leads and enquiries. What training and support does Ovenu provide franchisees?

The Ovenu induction training is a full five day Monday to Friday course and includes bed and breakfast accommodation in Wokingham, Berkshire for franchisees who may have travelled a fair distance.

The course covers everything that franchisees need to know to start operating their local business within days of completing the course. All elements of running a business are covered along with learning how to produce outstanding results for clients when valeting their cooking appliances - restoring them to a ‘showroom shine’. Training is undertaken by highly skilled and experienced trainers.

During the training week, the franchisees have the distinctive Ovenu branding applied to their van and the interior is fitted-out with equipment, tools and supplies to get the franchisees off to a flying start.

On-going support is offered by the Head Office team. This team consists of the Ovenu founder, Rik Hellewell, his wife and three of their adult children along with retained experts in the fields of advertising, marketing, promotions, PR, digital strategy and franchisee recruitment. The whole team boasts the most in-depth knowledge and experience to be found anywhere in this lucrative cleaning industry sector.

Additional help and support is provided from the existing franchisee network via phone, email and social apps.

Does Ovenu charge franchisees any ongoing fees?

The initial investment into the Ovenu franchise is £12,400 plus VAT. This cost covers 100% of everything that’s needed to start the business and get it up and running in no time at all. There are no hidden extras and hard working franchisees can start to turn over in excess of £1,000 a week within their first month from leaving the Ovenu training course. Many franchisees increase this turnover to well over £1,200 a week in their second or third trading month by following the business plan. The initial investment can therefore be recouped within a very short time-frame.

Franchisees can choose to maintain an ‘owner/operator’ status or go on to build a multi-van territory and maybe run it as a management franchise.

What locations or territories is Ovenu looking to operate in?

There are currently over 45 new UK territories ready to be established along with a handful of existing areas up for sale.

What are the Ovenu franchise’s terms of agreement and renewal?

The initial agreement is a five year term with an automatic right to renew for a further three or five year term.
