Jane and Katie Brookes (pictured) will be running their housekeeping franchise together, delivering eco-friendly cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing services to clients across Basingstoke, Andover and north of Winchester.
Before becoming a Bright & Beautiful franchisee, Jane worked for 30 years in policing and has also carried out a number of major home renovations, including building her own house.
Daughter Katie has just completed a psychology degree and has worked extensively within the hospitality industry. She also worked with her mother on the design and management of a recent new build project.
Jane says: “I had been a Bright & Beautiful client and loved the way that the team always left my home feeling like a hotel.
“When I was considering a new career, the chance to run a business with Katie, combined with our mutual love of houses and interior design, made the decision to launch our own professional and ethical housekeeping firm a very easy one.”
Jo Vorwerg, Bright & Beautiful’s franchise recruitment manager, says: “We are so pleased to welcome our first mother daughter duo to the Bright & Beautiful network and the combination of Jane’s organisational and people management skills and Katie’s knowledge of psychology to deliver great customer service looks set to make them a winning team.
“Demand for professional housekeepers has been on the rise in the UK for the past decade, as our lives become ever busier.
“As a result, we have seen an increasing number of franchise owners like Jane and Katie who are leaving professional careers to start their own new business in this booming sector.”
Launched in 2007, Bright & Beautiful has a national UK network of over 60 franchisees.
