Alison Chilvers recently launched her new Bright & Beautiful housekeeping franchise that will cover Ipswich, Bury St. Edmunds and the surrounding areas

Prior to becoming a new franchise owner, Chilvers enjoyed a successful 20 years in education, teaching thousands of students at various schools across her home county of Suffolk and Norfolk. Having spent the last seven years working as a deputy headteacher while struggling to juggle family life and acting as a school governor in her spare time, Chilvers decided she wanted a change of career that would give her greater control over her own schedule and workload, while still helping people.

Though she found working in education very fulfilling, Chilvers felt the time was right to accomplish her lifelong ambition of starting her own business and to deliver a premium domestic housekeeping service for clients across Ipswich and Bury St. Edmunds.

Chilvers said: “I came across Bright & Beautiful after reading an article about women in business and felt inspired to take control of my own destiny. I fell in love with the brand as soon as I saw the modern, colourful website and learned about their ethical ethos and standards. When I noticed there was a territory available in my local area, I just knew I had to take the opportunity.”

Launched in September, Chilvers was accompanied by her trusted team of three local professional housekeepers, all of whom were carefully selected, referenced and DBS checked. They work in teams to ensure reliability and the client’s peace of mind. The team deliver a bespoke and tailored service that offers cleaning, tidying, laundry, and ironing to the highest standards of security and service and only use eco-friendly products and equipment to ensure they protect the health of their clients, their children, and the team.

“I’ve had plenty of experience of hiring cleaning services in the past and have always been disappointed,” added Chilvers. “I was fed up of having to constantly ask for things to be done when, really, a high-quality cleaning service should be able to do it all without having to be asked. I’m very happy to be helping people who are struggling to juggle work and home-life by delivering a first-class service, that always delivers its promises, to the local community.”

Based in the heart of Suffolk, Bright & Beautiful covers Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Thurston, Elmswell, Stowmarket, Needham Market, Claydon, Hintlesham, Kesgrave & Martlesham Heath and the surrounding areas. The franchise is part of a national network of 65 franchisees, creating 700-plus jobs and delivering more than 10,000 home cleans per month.
