#MyFranchiseStory: why I moved from the food and beverage sector to cleaning

Franchisee Adrian Hughes traded life in the dairy industry for a new national domestic housekeeping franchise business

Shropshire born and bred Adrian Hughes spent 20 years forging a career in the food and beverage sector where he traversed the UK working for a vast array of companies. Though he enjoyed his time in this field, Hughes returned home to take up a new challenge.

His latest business venture, Bright & Beautiful, a domestic housekeeping franchise, utilises his extensive managerial skills, while keeping him closer to home and his family.

He said, “Having spent most of my career away from home, I made the decision that I wanted to run my own business and for it to be based in Shropshire. I knew I wanted a franchise that had both a core focus on team building and a strong environmentally friendly ethos which is why, after researching many options, I am delighted to become a business owner for Bright & Beautiful.”

The franchise offers bespoke and tailored services, including cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing to the highest standards of security and uses only eco-friendly products and equipment.

Launched on 8 July, Hughes has a trusted team of four local professional housekeepers, all of whom have been carefully selected, referenced and DBS checked. They work in teams to ensure reliability and the client’s peace of mind.

“The business will be built on the people we employ,” said Hughes. “We intend to create the right environment for our teams to thrive and grow by offering continuous training and will always be looking to promote from within. I am really excited to not only generate roles for local people, but to provide a first-class housekeeping service at the heart of the community.”

Hughes joins the growing network of over 60 Bright & Beautiful franchise owners, who have created over 700 jobs, delivering more than 10,000 home service cleans per month.

Based in Telford, Bright & Beautiful covers Newport, Edgmond, Lilleshall, Tibberton, Hinstock, Priorslee, Telford, Ironbridge, Shrewsbury, Bayston Hill and surrounding areas.
