Claire Alves returns to her roots and invests in a Bright & Beautiful franchise
A Cheltenham woman has swapped her high flying corporate career in Dubai for the chance to run her own housekeeping franchise business.
After 15 years working in finance and the hotel and hospitality sectors in the Middle East, Claire Alves says she was: “keen to experience a completely different industry, while still being able to continue my lifelong learning and career progression”.
She also wanted a career change that would give her greater control over her own schedule and workload, following years of juggling work, home and family life.

“Having extensively researched the market, I found the Bright & Beautiful franchise opportunity and it ticked all the boxes,” Claire explains. “It not only provided me with the freedom to set up my own business, but also the structures and economies of scale you only experience from being part of a far larger organisation.”
Using only eco-friendly products and equipment, Claire’s trusted team of housekeepers provides a tailored cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing service to customers in and around Cheltenham.
“The chance to run a business, combined with my passion to provide exceptional customer service, made the decision to launch my own professional housekeeping firm a very easy one,” she adds.
“The brand’s four pillars - holistic housekeeping, strict security, trusted team and eco-friendly - resonate closely with my own personal values and coupled with their ethical ethos and standards I knew I had to take the opportunity to be part of the Bright & Beautiful family.
“I’m really excited to be able to deliver a first class service that always delivers its promises to the local community.”
Bright & Beautiful is owned by multi-brand franchisor Neighbourly. Its 65-plus franchisees complete more than 10,000 home cleans per month.
