Domestic housekeeping franchise Bright and Beautiful has been named Home Based Business of the Year for the North West and Isle of Man at the Barclays-Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards.
The company’s 36 franchisees deliver eco-friendly cleaning, tidying and ironing services to customers throughout the UK.
After spotting a gap in the market for an ethical home care business designed for busy people, Rachel Ray (pictured) set up Bright and Beautiful from her home in Manchester six years ago.
MAKE MONEY FROM HOME
Her business model has enabled women from various backgrounds, including lawyers, accountants, teachers, nurses, sales managers, human resources directors and bank managers, to set up their own businesses and earn money from home.
“Home-based businesses are a fantastic way of working and Bright and Beautiful is a shining example that you can take charge of your life and run your own highly successful professional business from home with hours to suit yourself,” Rachel says.
“The empowerment that running your own business gives a person in turn generates confidence and the belief you can achieve your goals.
“I still work from home most of the time, which is a great situation to be in.
“The flexibility it offers means running the business can fit around other commitments such as children, studies or charity work and I can still have a better quality of life.”
Rachel adds: “The franchise system we operate means we have 42 expanding businesses under our umbrella and they in turn offer their employees great working terms.”
Bright and Beautiful plans to double the size of its business during the next three years.
