What Franchise

Susan Clowe is the 50plus company owned franchise operator for the Bucks/Thames Valley area and her background could not be more different from what she does now.

She enjoyed a long career with Marks & Spencer before running the office of a bespoke kitchen and interiors manufacturer. She then discovered 50plus online while looking for a new opportunity.

Training

Following an initial meeting, Susan felt she would fit in well with the 50plus team - and that’s proven to be the case. She found the company’s training and support excellent.

Susan has plans to grow her business further in 2014: “The company owned franchise, which I run, has a great track record on which I can build. We can grow the penetration of the existing geographic coverage and increase the service portfolio.”

What would Susan’s advice be to someone thinking of buying a 50plus franchise? “Go for it,” she says. “Be prepared to work hard and reap the rewards.”

The 50plus are looking for individuals who are seeking a new challenge and the opportunity to use their experience to increase their earning potential. If you are planning a service delivery franchise, you need to be practical and have the requisite handyman or plumbing or electrical skills.

As a management franchisee, you don’t need to be a plumber, electrician or handyman. You will need good communication skills to interact with customers and staff, as well as the ability to operate as part of a team.
