Sue Moore shortlisted at the Northern Power Women Awards for her dedication to mentoring and championing gender diversity

Anytime Fitness director of franchising, Sue Moore, is a nominee for the prestigious Mentor of the Year award at the 2022 Northern Power Women awards.

In a field of over 700 nominees, Sue has been shortlisted in a category that recognises businesswomen who have positively shaped the success of individuals and gone above and beyond their day-to-day roles.

With over 30 years in franchising, Sue partners with Northern Power Women, a network of over 70,000, to mentor budding businessmen and women. Having guided some 100 men and women with many becoming successful entrepreneurs, Sue has had a significant impact on business in this country.

The winner of this award, and the other 10 categories, will be revealed at a gala in Manchester on 21 March. Speaking of her nomination, Sue was grateful to Northern Power Women.

She said: “I’m incredibly proud and humbled to be nominated for the Mentor of the Year award, I have so much passion for championing diversity in leadership and supporting young people to achieve their ambitions and find their passion. It’s so rewarding to play a small role in nurturing the next generation of business leaders. My experience working with women in the franchise sector is that women are very willing to share the benefit of their experience and help support other women to succeed. Organisations like Northern Power Women exist to help us all pay it forward, build nurturing communities, share knowledge and network incredibly effectively to drive positive change.”

Sue’s appointment in 2021, alongside director of finance, Sarah Evans, has seen Anytime Fitness achieve its stated goal of a 50/50 gender split on its executive team. Sue said: “With my role at Anytime Fitness, I’m proud to be part of a business that shares my views on championing diversity. I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to champion women in business in both my day-to-day role, through my entrepreneurial contacts and with Northern Power Women.”
