The British Franchise Exhibition held recently at the SECC in Glasgow delivered two days of good business and networking opportunities for the many exhibitors and visitors who attended.
Over 50 companies showcased a diverse range of franchise and business opportunities at the event, while the new Consultancy Zone area of the exhibition proved to be particularly helpful to visitors requiring legal and insurance advice.
Says Kevin Frostick, UK Franchise Director of Coffee Republic, which exhibited at BFE: “As a business about to launch in Scotland, this has been a very successful show for us at Coffee Republic.
“The exhibition has proven to be a great platform to us in helping promote our franchise opportunity here, enabling us to reach out to a number of areas within Scotland that we otherwise couldn’t have reached.”
Potential franchisee Christine Johnson, a teacher from Edinburgh, commented: “Being new to the franchising concept, I’ve found the seminars and Growing Your Own Business presentations particularly useful.
“The information on offer, such as the free legal and insurance advice, has also been invaluable. Overall I’ve found the exhibition a very welcoming and friendly environment and will be leaving with a number of potential business opportunities to follow up.”
Says David Tuck, Franchise Sales Manager at Venture Marketing Group: “We are continuing to build on the previous success of the Glasgow event and we have seen that, once again, the event has delivered a high calibre of visitor providing some good potential business leads.”
