London’s small business owners remain positive about the economic outlook, according to the latest research undertaken for Business Link for London.

Three out of four respondents believe that the current economic climate will improve or remain the same during the next two years. The survey also revealed that the capital’s small firms were confident of the future growth of their business, with 92 per cent stating that they either wanted to grow or expand quickly.

Only one per cent said they expected their business to shrink in the immediate future, while just eight per cent said their annual turnover has fallen in the past two years.

“I am delighted to see that the majority of London’s businesses remain optimistic about the economic climate,” says Judith Rutherford, chief executive of Business Link for London. “In order to stay at the top of their game, it is important that managers continue to develop every aspect of their business - from business planning through to the skills of their employees.”
