The North West Business Leadership Team has welcomed Martin Jones MBE to its ranks

Martin Jones MBE, CEO of Home Instead UK and International, has been announced as one of the North West Business Leadership Team (NWBLT)’s latest members. The organisation brings leaders together to shape the future of the North West region as the best place to live, work and do good business.

At Home Instead, Martin is responsible for leading the brand’s UK operations and 500-plus franchised offices in several international markets, enabling thousands of older people to live more independently at home.

Awarded the MBE for services to older people in the 2023 New Year’s Honours list, Martin has demonstrated a passion for contributing to a positive social care landscape. He has been instrumental in lobbying for improvements in social care and has led efforts to raise awareness of the nuances of private care.

Martin is also chair of The Care Workers’ Charity and a member of the Age UK board as well as former chair and now member of the Homecare Association’s board. He is also chair of Home Instead Charities.

Commenting on his membership of the NWBLT, Martin Jones MBE said: “Providing job opportunities that are meaningful and which provide opportunities for additional training and upskilling so that we have an empowered care workforce is my passion.

“Martin has been instrumental in lobbying for improvements in social care.”

“I am also an advocate for the needs of older people. My roles have enabled me to build strong links with the Department of Health and Social Care, Skills for Care, and the International Longevity Centre. They allow me to champion the cause of home care and the role it plays in the health and social care ecosystem, and indeed the economy of the region. It is in that spirit of collaboration that I join the NWBLT,” he added.

NWBLT chair Simone Peppi commented: “We are delighted to welcome Martin to our organisation of like-minded business leaders. His expertise will bolster our team significantly as we seek to continue supporting the region’s economic growth.

“We are excited for his positive impact on our mission, as we continue driving innovation, collaboration and prosperity across the region,” she said.

Effective leadership within a home care franchise such as Home Instead provides the vision, guidance, and support that franchisees need to navigate the unique challenges of delivering high-quality care while running a viable business.

As the home care sector continues to expand in response to ageing populations and shifting healthcare models, Home Instead is committed to setting the standard of what it means to be led by forward-thinking, values-driven leaders that set the pace and shape a future where compassionate, professional home care is accessible, consistent, and continuously improving.
