For kids coding franchise Code Ninjas, 2020 was always going to be one for the history books. But with seven location launches in the UK under its ‘black belts’, and 11 more planned before spring 2021, the last 12 months have been a real standout for the US-born brand. As the support team and network of 335 franchisees around the world prepare for their fifth anniversary, a new face has joined the franchise.

Jim Davidson, newly appointed vice president of marketing, joins Code Ninjas with more than 20 years’ experience in lead generation, content marketing, business development, and cross-channel marketing with a focus in the US, UK, Canadian and Australian markets. He, like the rest of the Code Ninjas team, is passionate about the value that additional educational resources and guidance can add to a child’s development.

As he enters a new year in his new role with Code Ninjas, Jim and the marketing team will design, implement and measure new marketing strategies that align with the brand’s overall goal – maintaining its position as the world’s fastest-growing kids coding franchise.

“In my new role with Code Ninjas, I am committed to maximising the brand’s potential to become all families’ go-to provider of coding education across the US, Canada and the UK. I see such value in Code Ninjas’ culture and commitment, so I’m very pleased to join the team,” shared Jim. “In 2021, during our fifth year in business, I will maintain the quality messaging that’s been communicated to clients so far and expand our market share by showcasing the impact Code Ninjas can make with students who could be the global technology leaders of the future.”

With seven UK locations already open and many more planned during the first quarter of 2021, Jim joins Code Ninjas at a pivotal time.

“The Code Ninjas model has performed so well in the US, and our initial goal for our first full year in the UK was to match that rate of growth,” explained Justin Nihiser, CEO at Code Ninjas. “Whilst I’ve always been confident that the UK would respond well to the Code Ninjas programme, it’s incredible to see the rate at which we’ve grown. Our presence in England – and beyond – looks to replicate our nationwide offering in the US and, with talented and dedicated individuals like Jim by my side, I’m sure this will be the case as we enter a new year. We’re very excited to welcome a new face into our franchise family and further establish ourselves as ‘ones to watch’ in the UK.”

In line with its goal, Code Ninjas is busy recruiting other key players to its ever-expanding support team. Before the year is out, it is expected that Justin will announce the names of a new vice president of operations and vice president of training.
