Using Zoom calls, social media and videos – it is business as usual for the sign management company

Estate agency sign management company, Countrywide Signs, has re-evaluated its processes, using technology such as Zoom to bring members of its network together who wouldn’t normally meet because of where they are based in the UK. This has effectively replaced regional meetings due to social distancing. The Zoom calls have enabled Countrywide Signs to strengthen the sense of community in the network with individuals spread as far apart as Fife and Cornwall, Cardiff and Norfolk.

Realising that its customers are increasingly moving to an online presence, Countrywide Signs has also fully embraced social media. Not about the hard sell, the business is using it for brand awareness and to promote and connect with customers, who, in turn, appreciate its high level of service and support.

Current franchisees are winning new clients this way, with one agent stating that they went to Countrywide Signs because one of their major competitors did not have much of an online presence. They liked the way that the brand interacted with their agents online.

While there is no doubt that COVID-19 will have a lasting effect on how people do business, a recent report by Estate Agent Today stated: “A six-point guide is to be issued to agents reopening offices when the government gives the go-ahead, possibly in the next few weeks. The guide, to be issued by epropservices, the parent company of the Guild of Property Professionals and Fine & Country, is based on current guidance and talks agents through a range of processes to open safely. The guide then covers the nitty-gritty of the agency, including valuations and viewings.”
