Entrepreneurs can now register online for StartQuest, a free email crash course that will provide them with guidance and advice when setting up a business. Developed by Business Link London, the StartQuest tool sends a series of emails over a seven-week period to ensure entrepreneurs have the right information to start up and stay in business.

In the first week of the email course, entrepreneurs receive a daily email alert on such issues as researching our market, choosing premises, and legal considerations. Thereafter, entrepreneurs receive a weekly alert on issues such as protecting their ideas and what to do before they start selling.

The subscription process, which takes a matter of minutes, guarantees each email service is specific to the industry and region of the proposed business idea. Each email provides an introduction to a subject area that is vital to consider when starting up, as well as details of other organisations that can provide advice and support in the area.

Stepheny Mayers, Business Link London’s e-communications manager, explained: “There are several things people need to think about when setting up a business and the StartQuest tool ensures no aspect is forgotten. It provides step-by-step guidance on the areas to consider, making the start-up process manageable. It’s like having a virtual mentor who points you in the right direction.”
