Two of Sandler Training'’s leading female franchisees have each launched a free sales training scheme for women, to give them the tools to further their careers or strengthen their businesses.

Two of Sandler Training’s leading female franchisees, Anneli Thomson (Managing Director of Sandler Training in Oxfordshire) and Caroline Robinson (Managing Director of Sandler Training in Cambridgeshire) have each launched a free sales training scheme for women, to give them the tools to further their careers or strengthen their businesses.

According to the Office of National Statistics, nearly 2.2 million people in the UK currently work in sales. However, there is an acute gender disparity, especially when it comes to leaders in the sales sector. DiscoverOrg’s survey on gender diversity in sales roles uncovered that only 12.8 per cent of sales roles in executive management are held by women. A similar survey by LinkedIn found that only 21 per cent of vice presidents in sales are female.

Anneli Thomson said, “As successful women in sales, we have a responsibility to champion women and help them enhance their career or business. It is clear that men are monopolising the top-dog sales positions and we want to take an active role to rebalance the situation. Diverse leadership teams drive competitive results and success, so it’s a win for both women and the corporate bottom line.”

Both Anneli and Caroline are each offering over £10,000 worth of free training to the winning candidates, which includes an initial two-day quick start training and a year of reinforcement training. To apply, interested parties should get in touch direct for an application form. The deadline for submissions is 14 June.

Caroline Robinson said, “We both serve very strong university districts, which means that a large percentage of the senior sales roles in our area are in a technical field, where we have a high degree of expertise. Unfortunately, the gender disparity in technical companies is even more acute. This is why we want to give some deserving women the skills to scale the corporate ladder or get their business on the right path to growth. We need to add to the suite of positive senior female role models in sales. If we all pay it forward, we can finally start to bridge the gender divide.”
