A former Tutor Doctor employee and her son have started their own private tuition business trading under the banner of the international franchisor.

Ann Mary Wardman and son Deagland are no strangers to the brand - she was once a vital part of Tutor Doctor’s franchise recruitment team, guiding prospects through their franchise journeys.

After witnessing years of franchisee success for herself, Ann Mary and Deagland have now joined the ranks of Tutor Doctor’s almost 70-stong UK network.

She says she’s determined to make a positive impact on children’s learning and development in their local community, as well as providing work to local tutors.

According to Tim Morris, Tutor Doctor’s director of global franchise support, 2019 is shaping up to be another exceptional year for the company.

He adds: “As a global brand, with more than 600 franchise units in over 15 countries, we continue to invest heavily in infrastructure and resource to support our ever growing network.

“The UK remains one of our strongest markets and the collaborative nature of our franchisees, combined with a year-long launch support programme, supercharges each individual’s business from day one.”

The UK’s private tutoring market, which is estimated to be worth £2 billion annually, is the biggest in Europe.

The proportion of students receiving private or home tuition has increased by more than 30 per cent over the course of the last decade.
