FRANCHISEE FINALISTS REVEALED FOR ULTIMATE UK INDUSTRY ACCOLADES

Nineteen of the UK’s best franchisees will compete for awards in six categories, as well as the coveted British Franchise Association Franchisee of the Year prize, at a black tie ceremony at Birmingham Town Hall on October 2.

The finalists are:

FEMALE FRANCHISEE
Diane Maxwell, Driver Hire, Belfast.
Rachel Shaw, Subway, West Wickham.
Joyce Batten,Tutor Doctor, Bromley.

MICRO BUSINESS FRANCHISEE
Tina Young, Barking Mad, Northumberland.
Matthew May, Ed’s Garden Maintenance, Folkestone.
Andrew Smith, Little Kickers, South Lancashire.

BUSINESS-TO-BUSINESS FRANCHISEE
Frank Sutherland, Autosmart, Aberdeen.
Nick Barber, Minster Cleaning Services, Northamptonshire.
Jayne Gethin, ServiceMaster Clean, South West Wales.

YOUNG FRANCHISEE
Aaron Steward,Marston’s, Sheffield.
Phylly Jones, Pyjama Drama, North Surrey.
Matthew Woodwall, Revive!, Bath.

OLDERPRENEUR FRANCHISEE
Terry Lucking, Belvoir Lettings, Peterborough.
Charles Folkes, Caremark, Redcar and Cleveland.
Charles Trevor-Roper,No Letting Go, West Berkshire.
Nihal Samarasekara,O2, Hove.

“This year the finalists excel in their sectors, demonstrating business drive and ambition,” Brian Smart, director general of the British Franchise Association, says. 

“The shortlisted business men and women showcase the talent in franchising in the UK across a range of commerce, small and large.

“Their successes deserve to be championed and we’re all looking forward to the judging process.”
The overall winner of the Franchisee of the Year award will win £10,000.

Each category winner will receive £1,000, courtesy of HSBC.
