Franchise operator and management recruitment specialist, Antal International, has opened a new office in Singapore as part of its expansion programme in Asia. The move now gives Antal coverage in 28 countries on five continents.

“There’s a lot of talk about global economic meltdown, but the struggle to attract, acquire and retain the best people goes on,” says Doug Bugie, CEO of Antal’s franchise operation. “Our quarterly trends research project, Global Snapshot, has found most countries outside the UK and USA expecting to at least sustain and in the majority of cases increase hiring levels over the next few months and this is being reflected in our franchisees delivering some of the best financial results we have ever seen.

“Our biggest concern at the moment is not a lack of business, but that many people are in danger of talking themselves into a lack of confidence and a downturn that will follow on the back of it. It’s not a trap we intend to fall into and our expansion programme will most definitely go on.”
