Husband and wife duo Simon and Jane Miller (pictured), from Clitheroe in Lancashire, reported the second highest sales of all 47 UK In-totostudios in November.

The Millers launched their franchise in October 2010, opening a second In-toto Kitchen Studio in May 2013.

PROBLEMS
In the early days their business was beset with problems.

As well as opening during one of the worst recessions in recent memory, the pair were snowed in during their first winter, while their shopfront needed replacing twice after drink drivers crashed into it.

Simon explains: “It was strength of character that got us through.

“We pushed hard with advertising and networking and now it is paying off - we opened our second studio this year and we’re getting regular recommendations.”

Choosing In-toto as a franchise was an easy decision for the pair, as Simon’s background in construction and development meant he was familiar with the company’s kitchens.

“In my previous job, whenever I installed an In-toto kitchen I never had to return to a single one,” Simon says.

Not everyone considering a franchise with In-toto needs to have previous knowledge of the kitchen industry though.

Jane had none, and adds: “With a franchise you benefit from knowing you’re not on your own - the stories and tips we share among the In-toto showrooms nationwide is invaluable.”

FRANCHISE UK
In-toto has 47 franchise studios in the UK and is part of the Alno AG Group, one of the biggest modern kitchen manufacturers in the world.

The company has franchises for sales in many parts of the country.

Its franchise opportunities package includes initial and ongoing support.

Franchisees also benefit from sales, marketing and start-up advice delivered by experienced regional management, all tailored to each store’s individual requirements.
