Island Poké appoints new head of property as it embarks on period of huge growth

Hux Norman is no stranger to the hospitality industry and is gearing up to to help Island Poké expand

Hux Norman has joined Island Poké as it gets set to embark on its biggest growth ambitions yet, with plans to open 100 locations across the UK in the next five years.

Hux comes from the UK café, bar, and restaurant operator, Loungers, where he was instrumental in its significant UK rollout during his time as property manager.

He will play a pivotal role in securing prominent locations for Island Poké‘s expansion as the brand looks to bring its fresh pacific flavours nationwide.

He said: “It’s great to be joining Island Poké at such a key phase in its growth strategy.

“It is an incredible, fast-growing brand responding to modern consumer needs and I am really looking forward to bringing in my knowledge and experience to help the brand grow across the UK and beyond.”

Island Poké founder James Gould-Porter added: “We’re excited to welcome Hux to our Island Poké Ohana.

Poké is the Hawaiian word for ‘slice’ or ‘cut’ and is traditionally chunks of raw, marinated fish tossed over rice and topped with vegetables and sauces.

The brand currently has 18 Islands in London, 11 in France and a residency in the luxury shopping destination, Bicester Village.
