A new style of Cash Converters, dedicated solely to personal finance, is being piloted in Glasgow, Scotland.

The 800ft store is a new venture for franchisee David Thomson, who already runs nine other stores across the UK.
Thomson says: “I am pleased to be a part of this new trial, which will enable more and more people to take advantage of our personal finance service, including personal loans and our popular buyback service.
“If you have an item you haven’t used for some time, you can bring it along to the store, sell it to us for instant cash and then buy it back again within 28 days if you find it’s something you really can’t do without.

“The store will bring these fantastic services to the high street, while still offering a place to sell unwanted goods.”
According to Nathan Sermon, head of franchisee business at Cash Converters, if the Buys & Loans pilot is successful the concept could be rolled out across the UK.

“It’s a way of reaching new consumers in previously inaccessible areas by using a smaller retail space,” he explains.

“The idea has seen a lot of success in Cash Converters stores in Australia and we are looking forward to replicating this here in the UK.”
