Molly Maid reduces royalty

Domestic cleaning specialist Molly Maid is breaking new ground in the franchise industry by lowering the royalty rate paid by franchise owners as their businesses grow.

“Most franchisors would probably shy away from making such a significant change to their business model,” says chief executive Pam Bader, OBE. “For us it represented another opportunity to encourage and reward franchise owners to grow their business.”

In addition to a progressively lower royalty rate, Molly Maid has increased the marketing spend for new franchise owners and adopted another innovative approach in its exclusive territory design - adopting a ‘per target customer fee’ to equitably price its franchises.

Bader says these changes will continue to see Molly Maid literally clean up in what is possibly the fastest growing industry in the UK.
