A new business planning tool has been launched online.

Called Business by Numbers, the system has been developed by business adviser, Jim Rogerson, and not only prepares a professional business plan for the user, but also provides an insight into the way that the numbers have been arrived at. As historical accounting information can be added, it’s designed not only for the production of professional business plans, but also as a tool to be used in day-to-day management.

As you only need a web browser to access the system, a number of users can discuss and refine the same business plan simultaneously, removing the need to constantly swap updated spreadsheets via email, and has been designed to meet standards demanded by banks and other lending bodies. It also comes complete with tutorials and the option of online support. In addition, the free trial facility gives you the chance to try before you buy, with Business by Numbers priced from £99 for 12 months’ access.

“Like all great ideas, the key to Business by Numbers is its simplicity,” says Jim Rogerson. “Being the world’s first virtual business planning tool means that anyone who has access to the internet can use it. It will also instantly update any fiscal changes such as VAT and tax. No software downloads are required to access Business by Numbers and discussions and collaboration with partners and potential funders can take place in ‘real time’.”
