Pregnancy and postnatal fitness and baby class provider Busylizzy has added a further two new London clubs to its territory map. Both launching this autumn, Balham and Greenwich and Blackheath bolster the existing London coverage across Clapham and Battersea, Richmond, Wimbledon and Kingston, further strengthening the network and extending its offering to local mums across the capital.

In Greenwich and Blackheath, Weina Chow has swapped her high-pressure accountancy role to join the Busylizzy family. Mum of one, Weina returned to work after maternity leave earlier this year but didn’t find the fulfilment she craved in her role now she is a mum with a young family.

“I have watched Busylizzy go from strength to strength throughout the pandemic and I am really keen to bring the Busylizzy experience of pre- and postnatal fitness and baby classes to other local mums living in and around Greenwich this autumn. The opportunity to spend more time with my little one whilst also growing a business is a very exciting one,” said Weina.

The Balham club will be launched by existing Clapham and Battersea club owner and mum of two, Amy Phillpot. Amy bought the neighbouring territory at the same time as her existing club in May 2019, but the opening of the second area was delayed by COVID-19.

“September feels like a great time to be opening our Balham club. It’s typically a busy time for the Busylizzy network as the family holiday season comes to an end, schools return and mums start to get into a routine with their little ones again. Our unique concept of being able to workout with your baby, as well as taking part in baby classes as part of the same flexible membership has been so popular in Clapham, and I’m really looking forward to being able to reach more mums with classes that are local to the Balham and Streatham area and grow the Busylizzy family,” summarised Amy.

“We are so pleased to be gaining greater traction in London. It’s brilliant to be seeing our network of clubs growing again after the uncertainty of COVID and the time we spent operating an online-only timetable,” said Busylizzy founder Julie Clabby. “We have been able to launch another four new clubs since coming out of the last lockdown, which is great news for expectant and new mums looking to get out, get fit, make friends and have fun on maternity leave.”

Busylizzy’s timetable of weekly classes offers the perfect combination of structure and flexibility for the modern family. Classes can be booked in advance or on the day via the Busylizzy App or online, and cancelled up to two hours ahead of a session – essential when juggling pregnancy niggles and work or the effects of sleepless nights with a baby! Since all local memberships offer unlimited access to online platform Busylizzy Live, a class can also be completed from home on a day when getting out and about just isn’t an option.
