Created by Nizam Mohamed, the founder of ‘Heavenly Desserts’, the business took 12 years to create and launch, and was named Haute Dolci in an attempt to blend the elegance of French fashion with Italy’s love of sweet desserts.

Offering a classic menu featuring a wide variety of waffles, cakes, crepes, pancakes, gelatos, sundaes and more, Haute Dolci also offers an impressive vegan and gluten free menu with 45 carefully constructed but equally indulgent desserts. A ‘secret menu’ is also available to the most loyal ‘keyholder’ customers.

A generous take away menu is available from each Haute Dolci restaurant allowing dessert lovers to enjoy their goodies at home, at work or on the go, and private dining rooms ideal for special occasions are also available in the larger Flagship restaurants.

Haute Dolci operate what they refer to as a ‘cooperative approach’ to franchising, working alongside the business owner to get new stores established and then advising them as they become increasingly independent partners.
Franchisees are provided with a robust franchise system and ongoing support and assistance to ensure their new venture is successful – this support continues after the store launch as necessary.
As part of the support provided to new Haute Dolci franchisees, the head office team will assist in finding the right location for the new Haute Dolci restaurant, and will help to analyse the area’s potential for success. All Haute Dolci stores should be placed in first class, prime locations and high traffic areas. Haute Dolci suggests that new franchisees should consider suitable spaces in shopping centres, busy high streets, cosmopolitan city centres and tourist hotspots.
There are currently three types of store for potential Haute Dolci franchisees to choose from, each offering indoor and outdoor use along with takeaway options. They each also come with their own set requirements in terms of space and seating capacity.
The first option is a Flagship Store, which should provide indoor seating for at least 100 customers, plus more space outside. Covering a minimum of 232 square metres (2500 square feet), a Flagship Store should include parking, a private dining area and a spacious outdoor terrace for additional seating if possible.
The second option is a Classic Store covering at least 111 square metres (1200 square feet) and able to seat 40-100 customers, plus more on an outside terrace if available, while option three, a Take Away Store should have up to 30 seats in a 30 square metre (322 square feet) space.
Haute Dolci franchise fees and investment costs vary according to the store type. Flagship Stores have a franchise fee of £17,500 + VAT, with a total investment from £295,000 + VAT. Classic Stores have a franchise fee of £15,000 + VAT with total investment costs starting at £195,000 + VAT. Finally, the Haute Dolci franchise fee for a Take Away Store is £10,000 + VAT, with total investment from £145,000 + VAT.
Each of these investment costs may vary based on the store location, restaurant size and the condition and configuration of the building prior to launch.
Haute Dolci provides a range of marketing support to new franchisees, including local PR to advertise the launch of each new store.
The Haute Dolci brand operates a loyalty scheme featuring keys which ‘unlock’ rewards in store. Prior to launch, Haute Dolci restaurants are supported by a local ‘key hunt’ which is advertised on social media, offering keys to potential customers which can be handed in on their first restaurant visit to start earning points. Points earn ‘charms’ which can unlock invitations to special events, secret menu options, priority queuing and special offers.
Each Haute Dolci franchise is also listed on the main website, with details of location and online booking available.

Haute Dolci currently operates dessert restaurants in six locations, with its original store in Cheshire and five more now open in Blackburn, Bolton, Manchester, Coventry and Leicester. The Haute Dolci team are set to launch stores in Leeds, Birmingham and London in the near future, and are then hoping to open additional franchises within the other territories currently available across the whole of the UK.
