About The Property Franchise Group
The Property Franchise Group was established in 1994, and the company claims to now be the UK’s number one property franchise specialist within the region of 300 offices country-wide. The group consists of six estate agent and/or property management brands, and the franchise holders in the group have almost 50,000 tenanted managed properties between them.
What the group offers its franchisees is an opportunity to start a property franchise business using its proven franchise model and ongoing support. The brands within the group are CJ Hole, Ellis & Co, EweMove, Martin & Co, Parkers, and Whitegates. Each of these established brands has its own distinct focus, regions, and looks for slightly different kinds of property management/estate agent franchise.
The Property Franchise Group points out that a franchise in the property sector will always be a solid investment because people will always need places to stay – whether as owners or tenants – and places of business are also required. Furthermore, property is a dynamic market with a growing demand for both houses to buy and rental accommodation.
This demand, in turn, leads to a growth in most property values.

How does The Property Franchise Group franchise model work?
To obtain information on becoming a franchisee, you can request a brochure from The Property Franchise Group by completing the enquiry form found on this page. Alternatively, you can click on the “Get in touch” link of the website. You can also check via the website to see if (a) your area is available and (b) if there is an existing franchise
business available in the relevant location.
The one option is to purchase a new franchise. The second is to purchase a resale / buy an existing franchise business. The latter provides several advantages including offering existing clients and a portfolio of properties, existing and experienced staff, and established branded premises with business systems in place. These factors mean income is generated from the first day.
How much will I need to invest?
The franchise fee itself is £18,500 + VAT. However, you will require in the region of £100,000 in total as you will also have office set-up or shop-fit costs and working capital requirements. Each of these is an estimated £15,000 of the full amount. It is recommended by the company that you invest 30 – 40 per cent of your own funds. The balance can be obtained through a bank loan or financing.
It’s important to remember that, unless you purchase an existing business – you need money to cover your normal, personal expenses as your franchise will not generate income immediately.

What are the average earnings and profits which can be made from a The Property Franchise Group franchise?
The Group indicates that on a new business it takes about two years to reach break-even. In year three a franchise in a high-street location can anticipate a turnover in the region of £250,000 and this should reach about £400,000 in year four. However, a very effective and successful franchise can generate an annual turnover in excess of £1 million.
How soon will I start making money?
As previously indicated, breakeven is near or at the end of year two. With an existing business, though, you will generate income from day one.
Is this the best franchise opportunity of its kind in the UK?
The Property Franchise Group is the only company of its kind as it is a multi-brand lettings and estate agency franchising group and not simply an estate agent or property management company. The brands within the group offer franchisees a range of options so that prospective franchisees can select the business that is the best fit for them and will most benefit both parties.
