Jordan Tracey has invested in his own transport and logistics recruitment business

One of Driver Hire’s high flying staff members has gone from employee to franchisee.

Jordan Tracey has bought the Dundee and Perth franchises of the transport and logistics recruiter.

He joined the nationwide recruitment business in 2014 and most recently was manager at Driver Hire’s Newcastle office. During his time with Driver Hire, Tracey has been both regional and national recruitment consultant of the year.

“I’ve always wanted to run my own Driver Hire business,” he says.

“When both the Dundee and Perth territory came up for sale, it was such a great opportunity, I had to take it.

“As with any business, it will be a challenge, but I’ve learnt a lot about Driver Hire, recruitment and the transport sector over the past few years.

“In addition, I’ve got the backing and support of one of the UK’s leading franchisors, so I’m sure I can make a success of it.

“With this Driver Hire franchise, there’s an unlimited potential for growth. I’m looking forward to working with local businesses, meeting all their transport and logistics needs.”

Driver Hire provides temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff to local and national organisations in both the public and private sector.

If they’re short of staff – perhaps because of illness, holidays or seasonal demand - Driver Hire will supply them with a suitable replacement.
