ChipsAway receives IMI accreditation for approved centre and training standards

The car repair franchise continues its outstanding training success

ChipsAway has received accreditation from the leading organisation for automotive learning and development, the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), for its professional training processes, assessments and facilities.

First achieving the accreditation from IMI in 2012, the centre has been going from strength to strength in recent years.

The ChipsAway franchise team consists of experienced technical trainers who work with new specialists during their training journey.

Simon Kings, the technical director who oversees the programme, has 19 years of experience in body shop full accident repairs. He said: “We are extremely proud of our IMI accredited training course and centre. We have been assessed as excellent on our last four annual inspections with top marks on training delivery and administration records kept.”

The training course is an IMI-approved Quality Assured Programme [QAP] leading to a Quality Assured Award at the end [QAA].

Every new ChipsAway car repair specialist is required to complete four weeks of intensive technical training at the ChipsAway training centre in the West Midlands.
