Dream Doors Stoke sold £222,566 worth of kitchen makeover projects in September

A franchisee family has achieved a record breaking monthly turnover of more than £222,000.

The team at Dream Doors Stoke sold £222,566 worth of kitchen makeover projects in September, setting a new record within the company’s UK franchise network.

Dream Doors Stoke is owned by former engineer Allan James. He employs his son Glyn as showroom manager, his other son Martin as a fitter and his nephew Kelvin Fradley as sales director.

Also on the team is Kelvin’s daughter Joy Fell, who’s a showroom administrator, and Allan’s nephew by marriage Richard Ridgeway, who’s also a fitter

Kelvin says: “When you get a good month like September was there are a number of factors involved, which always includes a bit of luck, but there’s no magic button to push.

“We do the same things week in and week out and you just have some weeks where it clicks into place - we just happen to have had three or four weeks like that in a row.

“It’s all a team effort and I’m of the belief that there’s no such thing as a duff lead.

“If it’s potentially an order for £600 or £6,000, it doesn’t matter because you never know what that sale will turn into until you go and talk to the customer.”

Prior to Dream Doors Stoke setting a new turnover record, the largest turnover in the company’s network was £213,000, achieved by the Oxford showroom in June 2014.
