The theme was ‘further together’ and this was exemplified in all the inspiring talks by the head office and keynote speakers

Greensleeves franchisees have come together for their annual conference after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

Held on the pristine grass of Wimbledon’s Centre Court, it was the perfect venue to celebrate and share the successes and achievements of the past two years.

Attended by franchisees and key suppliers from across the UK, the conference was the first time the network had come together in person since January 2020. The event created a valuable opportunity to celebrate the growth of the brand, unite post-COVID and welcome 16 new franchisees, all of whom joined in the last two years.

“We’ve been in constant virtual contact with our franchisees and their teams over the last 24 months, but it was fantastic to be back in a venue with so many of them again,” said David Truby, managing director of Greensleeves. “Nothing beats the atmosphere of a Greensleeves conference, where the sense of collaboration and pride is so evident. It was a great day and very well received by all.”

A number of guest speakers attended the event, including Wimbledon’s head of courts and horticultural, Neil Stubley, who talked about the history of the venue and how they maintain the courts.

Olympic athletes Roger Black MBE and Steve Backley OBE also made an appearance, together with their experienced business coach, Paul Mallinson, to deliver a workshop.

Mark Warrington of Greensleeves Preston and Southport District was one of the franchisees who attended the conference. He said: “Just a quick note to thank you and all at HQ for a great event at Wimbledon. I think these have been missed due to the pandemic and are a way of bringing everyone together and giving everyone a boost. There was obviously a lot of effort from everyone organising, preparing speeches etc, and I’m sure it hasn’t gone unnoticed by everyone who attended.”
