The UK’s only pest control and live bee removal franchise has signed up its second franchisee

PGH Beegone announced the recruitment of its second franchisee who will run his pest control and live bee removal business in south Birmingham.

PGH Beegone is a relatively new franchise, which launched in December 2020, and prides itself on solving pest problems others can’t while also being the only franchise in the UK to offer live bee removal. The franchise’s approach to recruitment has been cautious; low numbers of franchisees were deliberately planned for the first year to allow the business to form a strong foundation from which to build on.

The franchisor’s first branch, PGH Beegone Bury St Edmunds, launched at the end of April 2021 and, much to owner David Hasler’s delight, is outperforming its targets – having taken £120,000-plus VAT in sales in its first six months.

It was PGH Beegone’s first time at the National Franchise Exhibition but with live bees and a falcon on the stand, it made sure it wasn’t missed. PGH Beegone reported coming away with five strong leads hoping to attend one of its upcoming discovery sessions and many more visitors to its stand which was an important brand-building exercise for this emerging franchisor.

MD Peter Higgs said: “The franchise is really gaining momentum now, we put a lot of time and effort into getting PGH Beegone Bury St Edmunds up and running and profitable and will do the same with our next franchisees.

“The National Franchise Exhibition was a great platform for us and it made me personally even more excited for what’s to come.”
