It’s been a busy few months preparing new franchisees for their theatre school openings with two school launches

Razzamataz Theatre Schools, the Dragons’ Den backed theatre school franchise with more than 23 years’ experience, has welcomed two new entrepreneurs who are already making a positive impact into the lives of families in their local communities.

Kimisha Lewis is the new franchisee of Razzamataz Coventry and Brittany Arthur is the franchisee of Razzamataz Lancaster. Both have just opened after attending the company’s award-winning training where they attended sessions by a team of experienced professionals to learn every part of the theatre school business.

“I really enjoyed training although there is a lot to take in and a lot to learn,” says Brittany. “It gave me the confidence to believe that although I’ve never run a business before, I can do this with the support of the franchise and the Razzamataz team. Throughout the training period and the ongoing support that we are offered, I’ve learnt that I can do things that I didn’t think I was capable of. What really surprised me was how much I enjoyed employment law, I found it very interesting.”

Both Brittany and Kimisha have received guidance and support throughout every stage, from initial enquiry about becoming a franchisee, throughout their early training and then regular support calls to enable them to have successful launches.

“The launch was buzzing with excitement, and we felt like a Razzamataz family from the minute our prospective students walked through the door,” says Kimisha. “We are so excited to bring Razzamataz to Coventry and share the curriculum, which is something new for the local community. After the launch I received so many lovely messages from parents saying how much they enjoyed the day.”

The Lancaster and Coventry schools are the first new schools to launch this year, with other schools and additional Razzamataz products on the way. In September, schools in Manchester, Dorchester and Billericay will be opened as well as a new franchise partner for the Derby school and a new partnership at the Sutton Coldfield school. This means there are five new schools with five new franchise partners joining the Razzamataz network.

“We are very proud to be giving incredible opportunities for people to run profitable business doing something that they are passionate about and working flexibly to fit their own schedules and lifestyles,” says Denise Hutton-Gosney, MD and founder of Razzamataz Theatre Schools. “Two of our new franchisees started out on their Razzamataz journey as students and have progressed via the teaching route, while others have come to us via our nationwide branding and reputation.

“Every franchisee is trained to the same exacting standards to ensure their schools adhere to the excellent teaching quality and high customer service standard values that we are known for. Although most of our franchisees come to us without any previous experience in business, the structure and model that we have refined allows them to follow a system that has proven success many times over.”
