Mike Dooley to open Brighton and Hove business in August

Mike Dooley is Seniors Helping Seniors’ newest franchisee, having signed his franchise agreement at the height of lockdown.

The deal was sealed with an elbow bump instead of the customary handshake and hugs.

The experienced franchisee - he’s owned franchises in the insurance and care sectors - will now serve elderly people who require the company’s help in the Brighton and Hove area, where Mike lives with his family.

He says the time is right for him to use his care experience to help people looking for viable care options.

“Seniors Helping Seniors offer the care people need at a fair price,” Mike says. “The simplicity of flat fees is really important because people need to budget for the long term and I love everything about the carer policies of the brand.

“Seniors Helping Seniors pays carers properly and supports them fully. Carers work when it suits them and I know how vital that is.

“We’re allowed to give the time needed to each client and treat each person as an individual, matching staff with the relevant life experience, interests and personality. This is very special and it’s a breath of fresh air compared to traditional in-home care companies.”

Financially, time-wise and what it means for the day-to-day concentration on point of care, Mike knows the positives that come from being out of the scope of the Care Quality Commission and the positive impact it will have on his business.

Christian Wilse, Seniors Helping Seniors’ UK manager, says: “We’re lucky to welcome someone with Mike’s experience to the team.”
