The business has established a strong reputation for quality service and exceptional attention to detail, resulting in satisfied blue-chip B2B clients who use its services regularly and, more importantly, also refer other businesses

Apart from knowing that it is a huge market, to date, no-one has calculated the exact size of the construction cleaning business. However, The Kleaning Company’s managing director, Daniel Twiselton, estimates the after-build cleaning market to be worth £600m, saying: “Our clients budget for around 0.5 per cent of their build cost to be cleaning. So with construction output at around £120bn a year, we estimate this market to be somewhere in the region of £600m which is 2.5 per cent of the total commercial cleaning market estimated at £24bn per year.”

He adds: “One of the main reasons for our success is because of our staff. We have a very high employee retention rate which is way above average for the industry. This means our staff are happy (I hope), and they are well paid, which gives us the confidence to invest time and money in them by training and qualifying them in construction-related courses.

“By having staff qualified in SMSTS, IPAF, PASMA, First Aid, and more, gives us an edge over our competition. The industry has become so heavily focused, and rightly so, on health and safety, it is vital to have industry recognised accreditations and qualifications to stand out from the crowd.”

The Kleaning Company offers personalised and detailed deep-cleaning services towards the end of construction projects. The business is often needed on large-scale building construction sites with big-ticket cleaning fees. A distinctive characteristic of the business is its unrivalled focus on after-build cleaning – a gap in the market that has been identified and fulfilled by The Kleaning Company.
