Rob Kerrison of Tutor Doctor Cambridge & Norwich and Neeta Rai of Tutor Doctor Beeston Park achieved the NTP accreditation for their businesses

Tutor Doctor has been chosen as a trusted partner by the National Tutoring Programme (NTP), the UK government-funded scheme to address learning loss during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As an NTP tuition partner, Tutor Doctor will supply targeted support for pupils in secondary schools across East Anglia and West & South Yorkshire whose educational learning has been most affected over the past 18 months. With more than a decade of proven experience working with pupils across all key stages from mainstream and specialist schools, Tutor Doctor is well placed to give students the extra support they need to reach their full potential.

Franchisees, Rob Kerrison of Tutor Doctor Cambridge & Norwich and Neeta Rai of Tutor Doctor Beeston Park, are both delighted to have achieved the NTP accreditation for their businesses and to reach even more young people who need the support of a great tutor.

Rob has delivered over 100,000 hours of tutoring to over 15 secondary schools in and around Cambridge, the council and 2,000-plus private clients since 2010. He said: “I’m hugely proud that our tutoring business has been selected to support teachers in the incredible work they are doing during these challenging times. Tutoring is one of the most effective tools to support learning and accelerate pupil progress and I believe it can also help build positive relationships, develop confidence and self-esteem.”

Neeta Rai of Tutor Doctor Beeston Park is equally thrilled to be providing high-quality tutoring to schools in her territory. She has 19 years of experience in the education sector, including providing 3,500 hours of tutoring to multiple primary and secondary schools and private clients since 2018.  She added: “I’m really looking forward to helping bridge the gap for those children who have felt the brunt of the impact through school closure and can’t wait to start working with our local schools and their pupils to help them achieve their goals.”

“It’s great news that we are a trusted provider for the NTP as it will enable us to give pupils the extra support they need to reach their full potential,” said Frank Milner, president of Tutor Doctor. “Our work is needed more than ever because of the impact of COVID on the lives and learning of disadvantaged children and young people. With high-quality tutoring a key element of education recovery, we are determined to play our part.”
