The home-based tutoring franchise has been chosen as a partner by the National Tutoring Programme

Tutor Doctor has been chosen as a trusted partner by the National Tutoring Programme (NTP), the UK government-funded scheme to address learning loss during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rob Kerrison of Tutor Doctor Cambridge and Norwich and Neeta Rai of Tutor Doctor Beeston Park achieved the NTP accreditation for their businesses.

The National Tutoring Programme is a government-funded programme that provides schools access to high-quality tutoring, at a heavily subsidised rate, to support students whose education has been affected by school closures from the pandemic.

With the launch of the NTP to help students catch up from lost learning, it’s clear that tutoring is becoming a critical part of mainstream education. This government tuition funding for schools represents a big opportunity for Tutor Doctor franchise owners to develop an additional revenue stream and impact even more students in their communities.

With many years of experience supporting schools, education trusts and virtual schools in local communities across the UK, Tutor Doctor’s one-to-one and small group tuition re-engage students in learning, builds confidence and achieves academic success. Every local Tutor Doctor office has a flexible and tailored approach to building a programme that addresses each school’s specific needs.

As an NTP tuition partner, Tutor Doctor will supply targeted support for pupils in secondary schools across East Anglia and West & South Yorkshire whose educational learning has been most affected over the past 18 months. With more than a decade of proven experience working with pupils across all key stages from mainstream and specialist schools, Tutor Doctor is well placed to give students the extra support they need to reach their full potential.

“It’s great news that we are a trusted provider for the NTP as it will enable us to give pupils the extra support they need to reach their full potential,” said Frank Milner, president of Tutor Doctor. “Our work is needed more than ever because of the impact of COVID on the lives and learning of disadvantaged children and young people. With high-quality tutoring a key element of education recovery, we are determined to play our part.”

Tutor Doctor franchisees come from all walks of life, in fact, 83 per cent of its franchisees come from backgrounds other than education. Tutor Doctor is looking for someone with drive and desire. The whole mission of Tutor Doctor is to change the trajectory of students’ lives.
