Latest milestone comes just six months after in-home care provider reached £1 million mark

An in-home care franchise has achieved a turnover of £2 million just six months after breaking the million-pound barrier.

Visiting Angels’ Sheffield office has not only doubled in size, it’s now providing over 1,750 weekly hours of care to clients.

And managing director Dan Archer is thrilled with how much the business has grown.

He explains: “When we launched in 2017, we projected a million-pound turnover in year three. So to achieve that, smash through it and double it within six months is astounding.

“It just goes to show that despite the recent economic uncertainty, it’s possible to grow a profitable business in the care sector with the right team.

“It also indicates that our ‘carer centric’ approach, where we put our carers at the heart of the business, is the right thing to do. It is an incredibly proud moment indeed.”

Established in the US in 1998, Visiting Angels is one of America’s largest care franchises, with over 600 offices operating in five countries.

Dan brought the brand to the UK in 2017. Within a year the Sheffield franchise was awarded Best International Franchise at Visiting Angels’ annual conference in Philadelphia and crowned as the fastest growing office in the brand’s history.

It’s also been shortlisted as a finalist in the Great British Care Awards for two years in a row.

Visiting Angels’ carer centric approach includes offering care workers a minimum wage of £10 per hour with guaranteed annual increases, a generous mileage allowance, regular car servicing and valeting and a mobile phone.
