The X-Press Academy provides the X-Factor to succeed in business
It was three years ago when Dave and Lynne Lister, owners of X-Press Legal Services, had a flash of inspiration that they needed to offer their franchisees a little extra.
Dave explains: “Franchisees come from diverse career backgrounds, so they don’t necessarily have the expertise to run their own business on day one.
“So we wanted to set ourselves apart by offering a different level of business support, as well as a personal development structure that covers all bases and help them to succeed.”
Grown
As a result, the X-Press Legal Services Academy was born and has grown from strength to strength. It’s run by leading business development coach Emma Stanton, who organises bespoke workshops every six weeks for the X-Press franchise network.
The academy programme is endorsed by the Institute of Leadership and Management and attendees qualify for ILM diplomas.
Every franchisee attending the academy is DISC profiled, a communication and behavioural profiling system that helps to identify personal strengths and weaknesses. This then helps to define future academy sessions.
While attendance at the academy is optional, the uptake is high, with franchisees acknowledging the significant benefits it has to offer.
The academy also features a twiceyearly roadshow supported by 15 business partners, as well as an annual conference, which celebrates the success of the business, including the crowning of the prestigious Franchisee of the Year Award.
