About Easy Living Mobility

Easy Living Mobility was established in 2001 by Daniel Griffiths.

Prior to founding the business, he worked with his father alongside playing semi-professional football after leaving school with no qualifications. During that time he learnt many things from his father in upholstery and business in general. Daniel’s father Derek’s upholstery business was one of the first companies in the UK, back in the early 1990s, to start producing ‘British Made’ riser recliner chairs. As well as this, it was also the first to start offering a made-to-measure service.

Daniel started selling bespoke furniture to the public in 2001 and later opened his first Mobility store in Newcastle-Under-Lyme in 2006 with the support of his wife Camilla, who looks after the day-to-day running of Easy Living Mobility. “We pride ourselves on being a very family-orientated business filled with friends and family,” says Daniel.

Easy Living Mobility has established itself as a market-leading supplier of mobility equipment whilst developing its staff to be the best in the industry.

Unlike many other mobility stores, Easy Living Mobility not only has the ability to supply high-quality stairlifts (straight and curved) but its staff also undertakes installation and servicing. Easy Living Mobility also has a wide range of mobility scooters, as well as high-quality rise recliner chairs and other mobility aids, all of which can be tailor-made and adapted for the particular needs of each customer. Specialist ramping and access solutions are undertaken for both private customers, local councils and charity groups alike.

Easy Living Mobility’s goal is to build and develop a respected franchise network. By utilising the high-quality products, services and proven operational systems established by Easy Living Mobility and with the strengths of its franchisees, it aims to become a major supplier of mobility products and services in the UK.

Easy Living Mobility is committed to sharing the rewards inherent to its business system and abiding by the principles of ethical franchising.

How does an Easy Living Mobility franchise work?

Easy Living Mobility sells products and services from brick and mortar retail outlets, where customers visit locations looking for help and assistance in varied ways. This can be as simple as a kettle to aid in making a brew that is safer in the kitchen, to a stairlift to assist in the challenge of getting up and coming down the stairs. It could be an adjustable bed to help with sleeping or a riser recliner to aid with sitting and standing, as well as getting into a comfortable recline position.

Easy Living Mobility offers thousands of items to help assist age-related issues as well as medical conditions and disabilities. It also offers free home demonstrations for those customers that find it harder to leave their homes or would prefer a personal service in the comfort of their own home.

The franchise has a key management team in place to help and assist with all initial training needed to become an Easy Living Mobility superstar. The same management team also oversees every area of the continued support needed for ongoing development.

How much does an Easy Living Mobility franchise cost?

The minimum investment level is about £23,000. Franchisees can expect to turn a profit between year 1 and 2, many achieving it within the first 12 months.

The brand prefers to work with fewer people in its teams as it believes this brings greater continuity across the Easy Living Mobility brand.

Franchise agreements are for five years with the option to renew. Locations are available across the UK. Fill in an enquiry form on this page to get started.

Why choose an Easy Living Mobility franchise?

The ageing population of the UK is now older than at any point in history and with age generally comes different physical needs. By 2033, it is suggested that the number of people over 65 will have increased by nearly 50 per cent. There are currently around 3 million people aged over 80 years. This figure is also predicted to double by 2030 and should reach a staggering 8 million people by 2050.

There are around 11 million disabled people living in the UK. Of this figure, almost 40 per cent are between 19 and 59 years-of-age. It is thought to be this age group that is most likely to rely on disability aids, as living independently will be important to them.

Easy Living Mobility’s products and services are in high demand and have been for many years with huge continued yearly growth.
