“When I created Bloom Baby Classes, I wanted to ensure our music was like no other typical kids’ music out there”

The demand for Bloom Baby Classes has grown at an exponential rate

Victoria Jennings, early years expert and mum of three, is the founder of multi-award-winning Bloom Baby Classes.

Established in 2017, Victoria wanted to create a high-quality baby class concept that allowed her the flexibility to work around her children being at school. The demand for her classes grew quickly and within six months Victoria had a team of three teachers running classes alongside her across areas of Stockport in Greater Manchester.

In January 2019, the brand launched its first four pilot franchises and to date, the company has 53 franchises in the UK and a network of over 25 teachers working for franchisees across the country.

Scale quickly

The franchise model allows franchisees to scale up very quickly and be able to double or triple their annual sales by taking on teachers to meet the demand for classes.

The brand features bespoke equipment that Victoria has designed to aid baby development as well as many albums of upbeat original music to work alongside the classes.

“I think our classes truly stand out,” explains Victoria. “When I created Bloom Baby Classes, I wanted to ensure our music was like no other typical kids’ music out there which I think we have done very well. I also feel that it’s very important to keep adding to the content of the classes so we are continually adding new activities, equipment and music so our network has new activities to deliver.

“We have recently invested heavily into the network to get everyone Level 1 Makaton trained; I felt this was a good addition to the classes to aid infants’ early language skills. I am very proud of my network and its ongoing success, and they have each followed the model concisely. This is essential when investing into a franchise as it’s a proven and very successful model when followed.”

Ongoing training

The franchise includes over 40 hours of both in-person and virtual training which is ongoing for the whole network.

“I feel as franchisor it is important that each new franchise that joins the network is guided and mentored right through their first year and ongoing to help them achieve their goals for their business,” continues Victoria.

“Many of our network want to add teachers and grow their areas, and we make this affordable and provide lots of training to help support them on their journey. Our head office team is growing and currently has a team of five including myself that provide daily support to the network. We also offer our own in-house marketing and social media department to create bespoke content for each franchise area.

“This lessens the time spent designing their own content and ensures our marketing is consistent and stands out from the crowd. Any new member of the network has four to six months of training before launching their franchise to ensure they launch successfully with classes as full as possible.

“When you hear a franchisee telling you that they cannot believe that this is their job and that they earn upwards of three times what they earned previously within their first year but with the flexibility to work around their family life, it fills me with pride to see what I’ve created really and drives me forward.”
