Jamaica Blue has been built on two simple beliefs that have guided us in everything that we’ve done: a belief in sourcing the very best coffee and a belief in using only fresh, premium ingredients to deliver contemporary café dishes with a twist.

Jamaica Blue derives its name from the majestic Blue Mountains of Jamaica, one of the best coffee-producing regions in the world and home to the brand’s exclusive Wallenford Estate® Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee.

Jamaica Blue’s simple philosophy of great coffee and food, together with a passionate crew of chefs, baristas and service team, are the brand’s recipe for continued success.

From humble beginnings over 20 years ago, the franchise now has a growing international network of over 170 stores operating in seven countries: seven in the UK including Cambridge, Chelmsford, Rushden Lakes, Royal Berkshire Hospital, Next Birmingham, Eastbourne, and Telford.

The Jamaica Blue brand understands that its franchisee’s businesses are their own. The team supports and nurtures your business, they don’t run it for you.

Previous experience within the food industry is not a necessity, however, basic management capabilities are required for any retail venture. The franchisor also looks for:

The training and support you’ll receive

As a Jamaica Blue franchisee, you will receive onsite training from an expert team, which will cover all areas of running a coffee shop business including marketing, operations and staffing; providing you with the skills and knowledge required to run your own Jamaica Blue franchise.

Jamaica Blue franchisees are also supported with regular onsite visits. And with support and advice just a phone call away, each franchisee can rely on the Jamaica Blue team to assist them in creating the business they have always dreamed of.

Jamaica Blue’s experienced and passionate marketing department is always developing strong marketing strategies and campaigns to support both the brand’s reputation and sales figures. To complement this, each franchisee is provided with support in the development and delivery of bespoke local area marketing campaigns, which are aimed to target and capitalise on regional opportunities.

How much does a Jamaica Blue franchise cost?

TYPICAL BUDGETED COSTS SIT IN CAFÉ

• Shop Fit Out: £200,000
• Equipment: £40,000
• Initial Franchise Fee: £30,000
• Legal Fees and Stamp Duty (est.): £20,000
• Miscellaneous: £10,000
• Total: £300,000

Jamaica Blue franchisees are responsible for all store-related expenses. Additionally, franchisees are required to pay the following monthly fees:

• A franchise fee of six per cent of net sales
• An advertising fee of 2.5 per cent of net sales
• A management fee of £800p.a. is payable after the first year of operation
