A new Clondalkin gym is the franchise’s third club in the Republic of Ireland and the first to incorporate the exciting new club design

The new gym in Clondalkin, on the outskirts of Dublin, is also the third Anytime Fitness club opened by franchisee Gar Holohan. The fitness franchise states that over 60 per cent of its franchisees go on to open additional clubs.

“No other club in the area offers facilities of this quality and we continue to look forward to welcoming new members,” said franchisee Gar Holohan. “We have exciting plans to engage with the wider community, and our memberships offer value-added benefits to the people of Clondalkin and afar.

“The success of the two other clubs that we own in the Republic of Ireland shows the potential and profitability of running an Anytime Fitness franchise and I’m already planning two further club openings after this one.”

Anytime Fitness Clondalkin’s new club design facilitates the creation of various training zones in response to the soaring popularity of functional training. This is a type of training that incorporates exercise that allows individuals to perform daily activities more easily while reducing the risk of injury.

Stuart Broster, CEO of Anytime Fitness UK said: “ The new club design is a significant part of our future and we hope that people in Ireland will be looking forward to experiencing it.

“Even in times of economic uncertainty, the fitness industry continues to prosper and it’s great to see Gar enjoying a healthy return on investment from his other sites and choosing to open additional clubs with us.

“As with all our clubs, the community is at the heart of the proposition and we look forward to seeing the social value which is generated within Clondalkin’s surrounding communities.”

Anytime Fitness UK aims to close in on 180 clubs by the end of 2019 and is working with real estate and investment services firm, CBRE, to advise on all property acquisitions and help franchisees both with securing property locations and negotiating competitive commercial terms to drive down costs.
