Congratulations to the winners of the ninth annual NatWest EWIF Awards

The ninth annual NatWest EWIF Awards, held on May 1 at the NatWest building in London, was buzzing with anticipation and excitement. Drum roll please, here are the winners:

Daisy First Aid New Woman Franchisor of the Year 2019

Winner: Christina Taylor-Chisholm, Popolo Ceramico

Within her first year of franchising, Christina has quickly expanded her reach and is on course to reach her target of 50 franchisees within five years.

NatWest New Woman Franchisee of the Year 2019

Winner: Sarah Johnson, It’seeze

Just over a year after opening her business, Sarah and her team achieved a new goal of 100 sales in one month - something no other franchisee has achieved in the 10 years since It’seeze became a franchise.

Hitachi Capital Franchise Finance Woman Franchisor of the Year 2019

Winner: Jo Stone and Tracy Townend, Puddle Ducks Franchising

Puddle Ducks offers what it describes as a 360 degree approach to its franchise model, from the company’s business support and industry leading approach to child swimming to its innovative national marketing and the wide range of pool management models it’s researched and supported.

McDonald’s Woman Franchisee of the Year 2019

Winner: Charlotte Foxley, diddi dance

Charlotte leads a team of six teachers, who cover 20 diddi dance classes a week and work with several nurseries and special needs schools. In 2018, she won a permanent contract with her county council to deliver a programme of 1,500 classes to children with special needs, including wheelchair dance classes.

What Franchise Woman Franchise Employee of the Year 2019

Winner: Helen Garland, Right at Home

Committed to the personal development of her team, 51 per cent of the CareGivers Helen looks after hold or are studying for a QCF qualification. Her office has grown to become the third largest within the Right at Home network, with a turnover exceeding £1.3 million.

Darwin Gray Young Woman in Franchising 2019

Winner: Hannah Drury, Caremark

In 2018, Hannah implemented initiatives for her franchisees that allowed them to connect more effectively with customers and the local community. Through smarter working, she and her team increased net profits by 190 per cent and turnover by 15 per cent.

The International Franchise Show Service Provider of the Year 2019

Winner: Suzie McCafferty, Platinum Wave Franchising

In 2018, Suzie consulted on everything from franchising a business and improving franchisee performance to recruiting great franchisees and international expansion.

Little Voices Inspirational Woman in Franchising 2019

Winner: Anne-Marie Martin, diddi dance

In 2018, Anne-Marie worked tirelessly to increase awareness of the brand, which included securing an impressive partnership with a Disney TV programme and taking diddi dance to local festivals, as well as Camp Bestival, offering classes to those in attendance.

Overall winner

There could only be one winner of the Overall Woman in Franchising Award, sponsored by Astonish Email, which was deservedly won by Jo Stone and Tracy Townend of Puddle Ducks.
