It’s not for everyone and maybe the thought of working in the legal industry isn’t for you. But we’re not solicitors and an episode of ‘Suits’ this ain’t.

We’re cut from a different cloth. You can dress like Rachel Zane if you like, but at Family Law Assistance we celebrate the individuality of our franchisees - and that doesn’t mean a slightly ‘out there’ tie colour either.

We’re a unique blend of legal know-how, coaching and business skills. And after doing it since 2007, we’re going to show you how to do it too.

In our first year as a franchise, five people have taken advantage of this opportunity and we’re looking for more recruits.

What we do

In short, we help people deal with divorces, child contact and finance disputes.

We fill forms out, assist with putting paperwork together, advise on the court process and are on hand with negotiations, as well as being the ‘arm around the shoulder’ to help people in court hearings, either virtually or in person.

Much of our work takes place anywhere there’s a phone and broadband connection. With those and a computer, you’re all set. It’s possible to work from balconies in Spain and the Nile Valley in Egypt, but we don’t recommend that!

We don’t have geographical patches either; there’s enough work for everyone. And our business model is flexible enough to work whether you choose to criss-cross the UK or work in your local area.

The money part

For your initial investment of £13,995 (plus VAT), you’re getting a ‘business in a box’. After that, ongoing costs will start from just £70 per month.

Commission payments are 10 per cent of sales (20 per cent if we refer clients to you).

Your licence fee for the first year is part of this start-up cost, with subsequent years currently costing £1,000 (plus VAT) per year.

In return, you could be turning over £5,000-£8,000 a month after trading for just 12 months.
