Boogie Beat offers a multi-award winning music and movement franchise opportunity
Established in May 2000, Boogie Beat music and movement sessions are based on traditional fairy tales with a lively and active dance twist.
Franchisees can run community classes and workshops in nurseries and schools, parties and special events, plus the company’s new intergeneration workshops involving the whole community.
Discovery day
Vici Montgomery, Boogie Beat’s South Oxfordshire franchisee, explains why she invested in the business.
“After attending a discovery day with my three-year-old daughter, it was a no brainer for me,” Vici says. “We both came away from that session with such smiles.
“My daughter was so animated about the whole class, retelling the entire thing to my husband when we got home. I wanted to be able to inspire children in the same way.”
Today, growing up is complicated enough, according to Vici, who adds: “Children and parents feel the pressure to keep up with their friends and the technology and sometimes simple play gets lost along the way.
“Each and every Boogie Beat session is packed to the seams with role play, singing, dancing, sharing, counting, traditional stories, friendship and confidence building games, cuddles and lots and lots of laughter - there’s not an iPad in sight.
“It provides the perfect building blocks for our little ones in their journey through childhood. Many of my customers have confessed that they actually get just as excited as their children on a Boogie Beat morning.
“Sessions are portable too, so the scope to build your business is endless. Classes, workshops, parties, pop-up sessions - all you need is your imagination and enthusiasm to grow it.” Vici describes the support she’s received from Boogie Beat head office as “invaluable”.
“Nicky and Lisa at head office are with you every step of the way, but they also give you the flexibility to put your own personality into your sessions,” she says.
“After four years, I still wake up every Monday morning with a smile, looking forward to my next Boogie Beat adventure. There’s not many jobs that will give you that.”
Amazing year
Zoe Young is Boogie Beat’s Edinburgh and Stirling franchisee. She bought the franchise just over a year ago and says it’s been the best career move she’s ever made.
“One year on and business is thriving,” Zoe explains. “I’m currently running up to 15 Boogie Beat classes and nursery and after-school workshops weekly, with regular parties almost every weekend.
“It’s been an amazing year. I’ve never looked back since leaving my corporate job. I am able to work my own full-time and flexible hours, while earning good money. I finally feel I have an
Zoe is now at the stage of recruiting for class teachers, so as to be able to expand her business even further.
“With hard work and determination, together with an amazing franchise package, you really can go far,” she says.
“Over the last year I’ve got to know of the other children’s franchises in my area and I feel Boogie Beat has so much more to offer. There is something for everyone - babies, toddlers, preschoolers and primary school children up to age six. There’s so much scope for you to run and expand your business.
“The ladies at headquarters, Nicky and Lisa, run an excellent business. The ongoing support and comprehensive training package is fantastic and as a franchisee you’re very well looked after.”
