The Bürgshake® business model is based on three key costs:

• An upfront franchise fee that provides a complete package of support to get you launched successfully
• A fixed monthly management fee that will encourage you to grow the business beyond your expectations
• A fixed monthly marketing levy that is used to promote your store; there are additional marketing campaigns that you can buy into on a voluntary basis.

The major investment comes in finding a site and fitting it out.

What type of franchisee is Bürgshake® looking for?

What experience do I need to have?

You don’t need to have food experience, as Bürgshake® can train and support you with your business. However, franchisees must demonstrate a passion for the brand’s food and a desire to build successful teams.

Can I have more than one site?

Yes – Bürgshake offers both single-site owner-operator deals as well as multi-site agreements.

I currently own a takeaway; can I work with the Bürgshake brand?

Bürgshake is especially keen to talk with existing operators who are looking to rebrand and grow their business.

What is the typical investment level that is required?

The level of investment will be determined by the site and fit-out programme.

In terms of your own personal investment, Bürgshake expects you to have a minimum of 50% of the total investment cost in liquid assets. The brand also has relationships with major funding institutions that can provide further support.

How much can I earn?

Following your initial chat with the brand, its team will be happy to provide you with a full business planning kit. This will give you all the key financial information you’ll need to build your business plan.

Will Bürgshake provide all of the products?

Bürgshake will supply the core products for your business; however, you will also need local suppliers to provide everyday products.

Will my Bürgshake franchise territory be exclusive?

Franchisees are given an exclusive territory.

Can I sell my Bürgshake franchise?

Yes – Bürgshake’s renewable five-year franchise agreement allows its franchisees to sell their business, subject to a few simple conditions.

Training and support

Bürgshake’s franchise business is founded on franchisee support.

From the moment you start your journey with the brand, its team will ensure that you have all the information and support you need. Whether it’s business planning, advising on site selection and acquisition, site fit-out options, signposting you to funding options, or day-to-day general advice, Bürgshake is committed to helping you make the right decisions about your business.

After joining Bürgshake’s network, franchisees and/or their teams will be fully trained on all the brand’s systems and processes. All the training provided is 1:1 and delivered by people who actually use the systems. It is fully supported by a suite of operations manuals.

The brand’s team will also stay with you during your opening, making sure that all your training is in place to deliver the business in the Bürgshake way!

Once you are up and running, Bürgshake will hold regular business development meetings with you. The brand implements a marketing and social media plan that gets your store fully launched in your community.

Lastly, its supply chain will ensure that all the key products are delivered to you when you need them and are of the highest quality.
