About Go Yoga

Established in 2013, Go Yoga offers a wide range of yoga classes for beginners and for experienced clients. The company believes the goal should be well-being rather than purely technical proficiency and achievement. These classes are offered in dedicated yoga studios.

The sessions are music-based rather than conventional yoga sessions. The music used ranges from classical to hip-hop in order to suit different types of yoga and customer needs. This makes the Go Yoga experience unique and vibrant.

As with all yoga, the focus is on mind, body, and spirit. The emphasis at a Go Yoga studio is on promoting well-being, a sense of belonging, the community, and connections with self and others.

Each customer is assisted to find the right type and level of yoga for them, and classes are flexible enough to accommodate different needs and levels. This range, versatility, and flexibility mean that customers can build a relationship with one trainer and find their level and type or mix of disciplines that is ideal for them.

The courses offered cover several disciplines and include: beginner’s classes, sports yoga, hot yoga, Yin yoga, pilates, aerial yoga, meditation, yoga for fitness, Kundalini, Vinyasa Flow, and yoga for fitness. There are sessions for parents with their babies and children, teens, family groups, and adults.

The instructors are all highly experienced and, in addition to studio classes for customers, train yoga teachers in various types and disciplines of yoga through professional training workshops and courses. These classes equip individuals to teach the various yogic and other disciplines.

How does a Go Yoga franchise work?

Go Yoga has recently launched a franchise program for individuals who would like to use this business model and brand to open a new studio that would serve their local community. What is noteworthy is that you don’t have to be very experienced to do so.

If you are interested and wish to discuss it further, all you need to do is contact the franchisor via the website, email, or telephone. After an initial conversation, an appointment will be scheduled so that you can ask questions and the franchisee can assess your suitability.

A Go Yoga franchise offers you the opportunity to establish a successful and profitable business that boosts the well-being of your clients and area, which provides a great deal of job satisfaction for the franchisee as you watch people becoming healthier and happier. In other words, a franchise studio allows you to be part of the fast-growing health and wellness industry and to create a community hub.

How much will I need to invest to run a Go Yoga franchise and what do I get for my money?

The amount of £12,000 + VAT is required as the initial investment or deposit. However, the fee is £37,000 + VAT for the complete franchise package. This fee covers:

• The license to operate a studio under the Go Yoga brand
• Initial / induction training
• Assistance with the selection of a suitable site for your studio
• Support and guidance with fitting out your new studio
• Equipment in the form of wall art and a music system
• Marketing materials you can use to promote your studio in your area
• Business shadowing so you can spend time watching an existing studio owner at work
• On-site support in your studio when you first open.

The Go Yoga training school offers several training options for franchisees including an online training facility. You can go through training courses on teaching yoga to children, aerial yoga, Kundalini, and yoga for teenagers. The more types of class and disciplines a teacher can learn the better the range of classes he or she can offer to their clients.

In all, the franchisor offers new franchisees in the region of 200 hours of training, support, and business shadowing.

Do I need experience to be a Go Yoga franchisee?

You do not have to be highly proficient; you could be an enthusiastic yoga class attendee or a yoga teacher. While loving yoga is essential, it is very important for your success and that of the franchise network that you have a broader focus and range of skills and abilities.

Go Yoga franchisees must of course be passionate about creating an energising, health-promoting environment that caters to individuals and groups who take yoga classes. You also need to want to be a hub for your community. A desire and ability to build a successful (i.e. sustainable and profitable) business is also very important.

In other words, an ideal franchisee loves yoga but is also customer focused, has strong people skills, and either has solid basic business and management skills or is prepared to learn them.

Where does Go Yoga operate?

Currently Go Yoga has an established and reputable bespoke studio in Harrogate in North Yorkshire, England. However, the franchisor wants to recruit franchisees to open new studios throughout the UK.

Will I be able to get an area of my choice?

The franchisor is keen to expand throughout the UK, but you would have to enquire directly with Go Yoga about your specific location as some may not be ideal from a market point of view.

Is income guaranteed when running a Go Yoga franchise?

As with any business, income is not guaranteed as it depends on several factors including the amount and quality of work done by the franchisee.

Do I need to do my own marketing?

Yes. You will have support and guidance in this regard, and the weight of the brand behind your efforts, but you need to market locally to promote your studio. Happy clients are the best advertising as they will generate business for you through word of mouth.

What is not included when I purchase a Go Yoga franchise?

This will be discussed with you when your level of investment and payment schedule (if applicable) is agreed.

Is there a monthly fee or payment?

There is a monthly fee of +- 12 %per cent of gross income. This goes towards running costs such as administration and software.

Is Go Yoga the best yoga franchise in the UK?

What makes Go Yoga an interesting proposition is that the model is a niche one. The reasons for this are that the sessions are not mainstream in that they are music-based, the focus is on building individual and community well-being rather than technical excellence, and the range of classes, disciplines, and customer ages and types.
