Independent franchise consultancy Platinum Wave is to sponsor this year’s Scottish Franchise Week, which takes place on April 29-May 3.

Now in its 10th year, Scottish Franchise Week aims to inform and educate the public and business community about the benefits of an ethical franchise system through a series of high profile events. 

36,000 people are employed in the Scottish franchise industry by over 500 franchise brands and 2,400 individual franchisee businesses, which contribute over £800 million to the economy.

Highlight of the week will be the 2013 Scottish Business Breakfast, which is expected to attract over 300 delegates from the Scottish business community. 

The keynote speaker is former Scotland rugby player Scott Hastings.

In addition, franchisors and franchisees will be talking about their experiences of the industry at a series of planned presentations.
