A new ‘ebook’ has been launched that shows how even the smallest companies can devise, use and benefit from successful public relations strategies.
From getting media coverage to sponsorship and public speaking, PR on a Beermat shows you what to do and what to expect. Also included are true stories of how small businesses have hit the headlines and expert advice from deadline-weary journalists.
Says author, Louise Third, whose PR company has specialised in the enterprise sector for 10 years: “Most entrepreneurs take to PR like a fish to water once I overcome their initial scepticism and show them that PR is about substance rather than spin.
“All you have to do is become a natural news-maker, befriend the press, find the most appropriate proverbial rooftop - and shout. You should also have fun and make a profit along with way.”
And why the ‘Beermat’? Louise has teamed up with Mike Southon and Chris West, authors of the successful ‘Beermat’ series of books, whose message is ‘keep things simple and keep them fun’.
West, who edited PR on a Beermat, says: “Louise has been there, done it and talks about her subject in a way that’s clear, expert and readable. This is a book by an entrepreneur for entrepreneurs.”
PR on a Beermat is available from www.beermat.biz and www.pronabeermat.co.uk priced £14.99. Beermat.biz is running an offer whereby the ebook is available for £9.99 to anyone who joins the site.
Site membership costs £10 per month (and can be bought month by month) and offers a range of benefits such as free podcasts, sales tools, networking events and reduced prices on ebooks and workshops with best-selling author Mike Southon.
